1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions:

• "We", "Us", "Our" refers to Jalan Advisory, registered in Singapore at 112 Robinson Road, #17-08, Singapore 068904.
• "You", "User" refers to any individual accessing our website or enrolling in a course.
• "Services" refers to fixed income education courses and associated materials made available through our website.
• "Content" refers to all reading materials, worksheets, checklists, and reference documents provided as part of a course.
• "Agreement" refers to these Terms and Conditions as accepted by you at the point of enrolment.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website or enrolling in a course, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms. If you do not agree, you should not use our services.

You must be at least 18 years old to enrol in a course and must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under Singapore law.

3. Service Description

Jalan Advisory provides educational courses on fixed income instruments as they operate in Singapore. The courses are delivered as written materials by email and are designed to be completed at your own pace.

Our courses are purely educational in nature. Nothing in our materials constitutes financial advice, investment recommendations, or inducements to purchase any financial product. The courses are intended to support your understanding of how instruments work, not to substitute for advice from a licensed financial adviser regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).

We make reasonable efforts to ensure the website and course delivery services are available continuously, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to use our website and course materials only for lawful, personal, and non-commercial purposes. In particular, you must not:

• Reproduce, redistribute, or resell course materials without our written permission
• Share course access credentials with third parties
• Use course content to develop competing educational products
• Misrepresent our content as financial advice to others
• Submit false information when enrolling or making enquiries

5. Intellectual Property

All course materials, website content, text, worksheets, and reference documents are the intellectual property of Jalan Advisory or its authors. Upon enrolment, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the course materials for your private study only.

You may print materials for personal use. You may not reproduce, distribute, or share them with others without written permission.

6. Payment Terms

Course fees are quoted in Singapore Dollars (SGD) and are payable in full at the point of enrolment. We accept major credit and debit cards through our payment provider. Payment details are processed securely and are not stored by us.

Refund Policy

If you decide a course is not right for you within seven days of receiving the first materials, contact us at [email protected] and we will arrange a full refund. After seven days, we are unable to offer refunds. If you have a concern about the content, please write to us and we will do our best to address it.

7. Course Delivery and Enrolment

Course materials are delivered by email to the address you provide at enrolment. You are responsible for providing a valid email address and for ensuring that our messages are not filtered as spam.

There are no fixed deadlines or scheduled sessions. Materials are delivered weekly and you may work through them at any pace. We do not issue certificates of completion.

Course content is reviewed annually. We reserve the right to update materials during the year; enrolees receive updated versions at no additional charge.

8. Disclaimers

Our courses are provided for educational purposes only and on an "as is" basis. We make no representation that the information in our materials is complete, current, or suitable for any particular purpose.

We are not a licensed financial adviser, fund manager, or Capital Markets Services licence holder under the Securities and Futures Act. Nothing in our materials should be construed as advice to invest in, purchase, or avoid any specific financial instrument.

Fixed income markets change. While we review our materials annually, market conditions, yields, and instrument structures may have changed since a particular version was prepared. Always consult a licensed adviser for current conditions and personal recommendations.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Singapore law, Jalan Advisory shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of our services or reliance on our course materials. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the course fee you paid.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraudulent misrepresentation.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to course materials if you breach these Terms, particularly if you redistribute materials without permission. In the event of termination for breach, no refund will be provided.

You may cancel your enrolment at any time, subject to the refund policy set out above.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall first be addressed through informal discussion. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes may be referred to the Singapore Mediation Centre or the courts of Singapore, depending on the nature and value of the claim.

12. General Provisions

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. Our failure to enforce any provision at a given time does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it later. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Jalan Advisory in respect of our services.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on our website with reasonable notice. Continued use of our services after the effective date of a revision constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
